Analox Environmental Technology has been shortlisted for the Innovation Award in the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards 2007 for our self-inflating sandbag. Sandbags have been in the news a great deal this summer and the Aqua-sac has made a big impression as a flood protection product.
The winner will be announced on October 19th at a celebratory dinner at the Queen's Hotel in Leeds.

( 3 / 935 )In the wake of the recent flooding in parts of southern England a local BBC radio station, BBC Radio Berkshire, has put together a Google Map which shows a multitude of different information about local flooding. The map includes pictures and videos sent in by listeners, as well as the locations of emergency shelters and clips of people talking on BBC Radio Berkshire about the flooding.
The map focuses on the rivers Thames and Ock, the two major rivers in the county of Berkshire, and highlights flood warnings along their banks.
